Golf season in the mountains – it’s that time of year again to enjoy golfing in the mountain at one of the four great courses in Grand County.
Pole Creek Golf Club opens today with 27 holes on three courses – Ranch, Ridge and Meadow. This golf club offers something for every golfer including open meadows with spectacular mountain views, water hazards, drastic elevation changes and challenging greens. Pole Creek Golf Club won the 2015 Caggys Award for the Reader’s Choice as one of the best mountain courses – don’t miss out on your chance to enjoy this golf season in the mountains and experience a visit to Winter Park.
Three other courses in the surrounding areas for mountain golf, include Headwaters at Granby Ranch offering 18 holes with meandering greens, strategically placed sand traps, lakes and ponds. A favorite of locals and visitors for its friendly vibe and Rocky Mountain views.
Grand Elk Golf Course is a 7,144 yard course designed by Craig Stadler and Tripp Davis. Inspired by some of the inland courses of the British Isles, the 18 hole course includes low lying vegetation and rolling terrain with a beautiful mountain backdrop.
Grand Lake golf course will be opening on Saturday, May 21st. At 50 years old, this course has a long history and plenty to offer golfers of all abilities. Many rolling fairways are surrounded by lodgepole pines, aspens and native flora. An additional recreational option when you are done with your round of golf is to visit Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Grand Lake – the western gateway to the rockies.
