January 22nd is the Stagecoach Classic. This is a race that provides a portion of the proceeds to Trout Unlimited campaign to protect and preserve the endangered Fraser River. The race is open to all ages and abilities, but is a classic-only ski event. The race will start at Devil's Thumb Ranch and follow agroomed trail system through the old Idelwild Ski Area to Hideaway Park in downtown Winter Park. Post race events will include BBQ, beer garden and live music.

The last weekend in January is something special this year - Mary Jane turns 40! In 1976 this was the newest addition to the Winter Park Resort offering a new base lodge, 4 new chair lifts, 18 trails with over 350 acres of terrain. Mary Jane has a great history in the area and still offers some of the best moguls and steeps in Colorado.
Starting at noon on the 30th there will be a 70s themed party at the base area of Mary Jane with live music, a photo booth, birthday cake, swag, fire pit and on-mountain competitions. After the festivities at the resort, come to downtown Winter Park for a parade and fireworks. Stay tuned for details on the #MJbday Hashtag Hunt around town.
