The SolShine festival has been an annual event in downtown Winter Park since 2011.
Past artists that have performed at the SolShine Festival have varied and offer lots of different music genres - something for all music lovers.
In 2011, the festival grew to 2 days and featured Blind Pilot, Elizabeth Cook,Trampled by Turtles, Punch Brothers and headliners the Subdudes.
The second day featured Ramaya Sookay, Reed Foehl, Megan Buritt, Johan Wagner, Gregory Alan Isakov.
The summer of 2012 the festival was changed back to 1 day at Hideaway Park with Jami Lunde, The Samples, Trampled by Turtles and headliners were Little Feat.
In 2013 the SolShine festival, there were 2 separate weekends to highlight the free music events in Winter Park - July 6th had the spotlight on The Samples and Leftover Salmon.
July 13th featured Quinn Sullivan and the Nevilles.
In the summer of 2015 featured a great afternoon of music from 12noon to 6pm with 38 Special, Foghat and The Rick Lewis Project.
Starting in 2016 to 2019, the festival has featured an entire weekend of Leftover Salmon! All band members participating in extra smaller shows in local venues at the Winter Park Pub and Ullrs; and the entire and playing for free at Hideaway Park in the afternoon. As well as other supporting acts on the big stage at the Rendezvous Event center including The Record Company, Trout Steak Revival.
For the 2019 festival provided something new for guests. Band of Horses with their indie rock and Blind Pilot.
In 2021 the festival moved from it's more traditional August timeline to September for an early fall treat close to the Labor Day Weekend. A throw back to the earlier days, Leftover Salmon came back to Winter Park as the headliner with Hunker Down and The Rick Lewis Project.
For the summer of 2022, the SolShine Concert to a small break so that other concerts could come to Winter Park.
