Springtime already? Winter Park CO

Springtime already? Winter Park CO

Believe it or not, but springtime has come early to the mountains!  The calendar may say end of February, but the temps and conditions say March - get up to Winter Park to enjoy!

The Winter Park Resort has gotten 214' of snow so far this season and conditions are terrific.  We have 149 trails open (45 of them are groomed) with 2870 acres of open terrain and a 54" base with packed powder conditions.

Typically March tends to be our biggest snow month - so there is no reason not to enjoy - get out the sunscreen. Check out the latest snow and powder forecast and up to date weather conditions so you will know when we get that fresh powder and plan your day on the slopes.

If you can come Sunday to Thursday and stay overnight with StayWinterPark, we have super savings on mid-week stays.  You can avoid the heavy I-70 traffic, crowds on the slopes, pick any restaurant in downtown without having to wait - all the things that locals love about Winter Park.

Remember that Winter Park has an elevation of 9,000', so when you watch the local Denver TV stations or hear the metro area forecast, they are predicting temperatures in the 70s, Winter Park is about 15-20 degrees cooler than the Denver temps because our elevation is approximately 3,500-4,500 feet higher. The overnight lows are in the single digits or mid-teens, but skiing in 45 - 50 degrees in the daytime equals perfect spring skiing!

Check out our calendar of events as there are a lot of upcoming activities to enjoy on and off the mountain.

For many people spring break is also right around the corner and we have lodging deals for March - call us at 1-800-215-6535 or book online today before all the good deals are gone!

Need another incentive? March 13th is when daylight savings time begins - more sunshine to enjoy.
