Top 12 Restaurant of the Month - Alberto's

As promised in last month’s review, we headed to Alberto’s Italian Restaurant for this month’s gastronomic delight.

It always pays to do a little research beforehand, whether it’s hunting down coupons, or happy hours, and Alberto’s offers a very generous Happy 2½-Hour of 4:00-6:30PM, with the one proviso that you sit in the bar. However, that’s no hardship, as the bar is beautifully decorated, with soft lighting, comfortable bar stools and high-tops dotted around making for a very relaxed setting.

Happy hour comprises drink specials (usually $1 off each drink) but more importantly half-price appetizers and pizza.

We’re always thirsty, but claiming to be starving as well, we opted for 3 appetizers: calamari, mussels, and the meat & cheese platter which was beautifully presented.

Service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and all in all a damn fine choice!

Alberto’s occupies the top-first-corner of Cooper Creek Square, where restaurants have come and gone before, and the ambience really comes into its own after witnessing the Alpenglow sun setting on the Continental Divide, and then the outdoor lighting on the trees come on. The interior lighting of the restaurant exudes a warm and cozy feeling and all in all makes for a very worthwhile visit.
