Winter Park Snowmobiling Safety & Tips
Make sure you are prepared for your Winter Park snowmobiling adventure. For all snowmobile drivers, a valid driver’s license is required, and a credit card is required for damage deposits. Don’t forget to wear appropriate attire when snowmobiling. While snowsuits and boots are often provided, wear warm layers, gloves and goggles to be fully equipped for all weather conditions. Consult the snowmobile trail system map and trail conditions provided by Grand Lake Trail Groomers for maintained trails, speed limits, play areas and more in the Arapaho National Forest.
Make safety a priority on your Winter Park snowmobile adventure. Here are a few safety tips to follow:
- Bring a first-aid kit, emergency kit and repair kit.
- Bring a friend for unguided rentals and communicate to others where you are headed.
- Follow the rules of the road and stay alert to other riders.
- Avoid riding on lakes; variable ice conditions make riding dangerous.
